Innovate , celebrate, and discover – join us as we spend an evening with scientists from the Valley’s elite and new research labs.

Event Description 

Innovate , celebrate, and discover. Join us as we spend an evening with scientists from the Valley’s elite and new research labs. Come get an inside up-close view to the next wave of innovations on their way to commercialization. We’re looking forward to seeing you at the VLAB “Out of the Labs” innovation celebration. 

Networking and discussions will be ongoing between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm; opportunities to meet the labs will run throughout the entire evening. We anticipate that all labs will have their key scientists, business development and licensing experts on site.

 

Labs Confirmed include:

 

  • SRI – SRI , the birthplace of many innovations including Siri, mobile wireless, and robotic surgery will be attending and available for conversations about their prolific innovation and technology development.
  • SLAC – SLAC is celebrating its 50th year and its scientific mission has grown and diversified. Did you know 55 companies already use SLAC’s X-ray facilities for research aimed at developing medicines and other products? In addition to its original focus, SLAC researchers now also delve into alternative energy research, environmental sciences, biology, chemistry, and materials. Come speak with the scientists and team behind one of the world’s leading collaborative laboratories.
  • LBNL – Lawrence Berkeley National LaboratoryThe Berkeley Lab is an incubator for ideas, innovations, and products that help society and explain how the universe works.  The lab has a very active tech transfer office and a long list of available technologies. There are active initiatives in computational science, advanced networking,  renewable energy (artificial photosynthesis), materials, climate change research, biology, chemistry, and physics.
