Event Description:
Those involved in the mobile industry will remember for generations June of 2007. The looming introduction of the iPhone could shift how we think of our mobile devices. Will our previously smart phones get a life and become more fun? How will the dominant mobile operating systems and the handset manufacturers that build compelling mobile experiences on top of these OS’s evolve in today’s changing market?
The mobile OS market is narrowing down to Symbian, Linux, RIM, Palm and Windows Mobile. How will the mobile OS market react to the functions of the iPhone? Will Linux phones transition from Asia to the rest of the world? What is Palm’s strategy moving ahead? What will be Sun’s strategy with the SavaJe’s mobile operating system? Are there upstarts moving in to change the game? How will RIM’s strategy change as they expand beyond their hardware?
This event will bring together several players in the mobile ecosystem as we work together to understand what is next on the Mobile OS world stage.
